World Day of the Poor 2025 is on Sunday, November 16, 2025. The day is an annual observance established by Pope Francis and is always celebrated on the Sunday before the Feast of Christ the King. You may donate to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul-OLGC, cash or cheque ( Cheque written to Society of St. Vincent de Paul-OLGC) or directly to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul at https://ssvp.ca/donate/). 

 

FUNDRAISING ON SUNDAY NOVEMBER 16, 2025: SSVP-OLGC plans to donate 200 gifts for the poor and homeless in our community.  Each gift has a financial value of $25, and include necessities such as winter socks, underwear, personal hygiene products, scarves for ladies, winter hats, gloves, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap bars, and chocolate/cookies.  Please consider donating to sponsor a gift. We will write your name on the gift. Your donation can be any amount you desire (tax receipts will be issued or added on your OLGC account if requested). Non-financial gifts, such as winter socks, are appreciated as well.
